Senior School

Providing our students with the skills and confidence to take the next big step in their education.

The Senior Sub-School at Ballam Park Primary comprises of two Year 5 classes and two Year 6 classes. Years 5 and 6 are important leadership years where all students can develop skills of independence and responsibility. The students have the opportunity to hold a variety of leadership roles throughout the year.

In the Senior Sub-School, there is a strong emphasis on curriculum, including Literacy, Numeracy, Inquiry and Wellbeing. We utilise tools such as Google Classroom and Google Drive to facilitate collaboration and engagement across the curriculum.

The Year 5/6 camp is an exciting opportunity for students to build strong relationships with peers and teachers, while participating in a range of fun and challenging team-building activities.

The teachers of the Senior Sub-School plan, teach, assess and reflect together to provide quality learning experiences where students can feel empowered and take responsibility for their own learning. These learning experiences provide our students with the skills and confidence to take the next big step in their education: high school.
