Ballam Park Primary School is located in the south east suburbs of Melbourne, approximately 30 kilometres from the Melbourne Central Business District. It is in parkland behind Ballam Park Reserve, bordered by McClelland Secondary College and close to Naranga Special Development School and Ballam Park Pre-School. The school was founded in 1970.
The school grounds include five main buildings. The grounds include three separate adventure playgrounds, two basketball and netball courts and an oval. There are two undercover outdoor areas for student recreation. Specialist classrooms include Arts, STEM, hall, Library and Cultural Studies
The school provides an approved curriculum framework differentiated to meet student needs. Throughout the school, classes are grouped according to Victorian Curriculum levels with teachers working together for curriculum planning and professional development. Eight classes operate – one Foundation classe, two year 1/2 classes, two 3/4 classes and two 5/6 classes . Specialist programs include Visual and Performing Arts, STEM, Physical Education, Cultural Studies and Digital Technology.
